Meet the team that builds your skis:
Cason Lane, Manufacturing Technician

Cason joined Folsom after years of combining hands-on craftsmanship with engineering problem-solving. Originally from Daphne, Alabama, he grew up building anything from knives to custom longboards. His creativity and artisan skills quickly translated into a passion for precision manufacturing and product design.

Cason studies Mechanical Engineering at CU Boulder, where he continues to sharpen his technical skills and hands on problem solving abilities. From machining and aluminum fabrication to medical device prototyping, he’s always been drawn to the challenge of turning ideas into tangible, functional products. At Folsom, he brings that same mindset to the shop, bridging engineering fundamentals with hands-on production to refine every pair of skis that leave the press.

When he’s not in the shop or this classroom, he is likely out skiing, paragliding, or exploring the outdoors of the West. Known for his calm, detail driven approach, he brings both technical precision and a maker’s spirit to the Folsom team.

Meet the team that builds your skis:
Zach Zabel, Manufacturing Technician

Zach started at Folsom as an intern and has since grown his way into a dedicated member of the production team. A Denver native, he spent his childhood in the mountains of Summit County, and learned to ski at Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin, where his passion for the sport really took hold.

He is currently studying Creative Technology and Design at the University of Colorado Boulder’s College of Engineering where he focuses on blending engineering, digital fabrication, and hands-on product development. Outside of the shop and classroom, Zach is usually found climbing, hiking, or skiing somewhere in Colorado’s Front Range.
