The Cash 106 and Cash 117 have been stalwarts in the Folsom Skis shape line up for years, providing skiers the perfect quiver combination for skiing crud and soft snow. For the 22/23 season, we are proud to announce the latest addition to the Cash family, the Cash 93. With a narrower waist width and tapered tip design, the Cash 93 is here to make those hardpack days more enjoyable, and to optimize groomer cruising and tree skiing as well.
Having tested the shape down in Argentina over the summer, the Cash 93 has dimensions of 131-93-120 mm and features a 16m or 19m turning radius depending on the length. Lengths of the new shape span from 170 – 191cm and we hope to add even smaller lengths in the future.
“The Cash 93 is the perfect quiver addition for those that are looking to make low snow days fun again,” says Folsom Production Manager Christian Downing. “It has the perfect blend of seriousness and fun allowing you to make the entire mountain your playground. You can lay it over for an extremely pretty turn one run, and on the very next you can hunt for week old powder stashes off piste with complete control.”
The Cash 93 ski shape also lends itself very well to our UltraLITE touring construction type. The tapered tip design when paired with rocker manages to add floatation, while full-length sidecut through the tails keeps the ski stead in variable backcountry conditions. Recent Cash 93 UltraLITE demo builds weigh in at just 1386 grams (175cm length) and 1616 grams (185cm length), which are very ideal targets for those looking for a long approach touring ski.
We are now accepting orders for the Cash 93 on the Cash 93 product page, and the suggested construction combinations lower down on the page should be a useful guide for choosing how to build your latest Folsom Ski.
